- Postherpetic Neuralgia:
For adults with postherpetic neuralgia, Neurontin therapy can be initiated with a single 300-mg dose on day 1, followed by 600 mg/day on day 2 in divided doses and 900 mg/day on day 3 in divided doses. - Epilepsy:
In patients aged over 12 years, the effective dose of Neurontin ranges from 900 to 1800 mg/day, administered in divided doses (three times a day). This can be achieved using 300 or 400 mg capsules, or 600 or 800 mg tablets. The initial dose is 300 mg three times a day.

- It is available in tablet, capsule, and syrup forms for oral administration, and can be taken with or without food.
warning
- Exercise caution in patients with a history of depression, suicidal thoughts, kidney impairment, any allergies, those taking other medications, children, especially those under 3 years old, and during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- This medication may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision; refrain from driving a car or operating machinery while taking it.
- Regularly monitor blood sugar levels as it may affect them.
- Patients may experience an increased risk of suicidal thoughts; monitor them closely.
- Regularly assess liver function, kidney function, and complete blood cell counts while on this medication.
